I find Bowen to be relaxing and very helpful in relieving pressure in my inner ear. Once the therapy begins immediately I feel a release and a lightness in that area. I also experience a clearer mind and feel energetic. My body begins to balance and heal itself from areas of sensitivity.

My love for wholistic body work began in the late 80's. It started as I gained experience as a Chiropractic Assistant. I assisted physicians in evaluating patients for rehabilitation programs. I assisted patients to use various machines and weights for strengthening muscles.

I became fascinated with the body's ability to heal without medication. My confidence grew that through rehabilitation and self care, the body can regain balance. Eventually I desired to practice more hands on through masssage therapy.

Because I enjoy learning, after I graduated massage school, I continued to study a form of Orthopedic massage and sports injuries. Over the years I continued to add new tools to my "toolbox". The Bowenwork complimented my background and experience to my years of bodywork. After I received my first Bowenwork session, I knew that I HAD TO study this modality....a new tool!

The Bowenwork Technique is a completely new concept in bodywork. It's neither derived from nor similar to any other physical modality . It works primarily through the nervous system on both structural and energetic
levels. I appreciate how it is gentle and non-invasive. Also the fact that it is appropriate for everyone. From highly trained athletes to newborns, pregnant women, the elderly and the chronically ill. My years of bodywork experience has taught me that no single modality is for all body types. While Bowenwork resets the to it's original blueprint as best as it can, it plays an important role in a persons recovery.

I feel that we should treat the whole person as individuals. I find that Bowenwork addresses ones needs on all levels. Each person brings different stories to our tables that mold them and makes them who they are. On a cellular level Bowenwork address each ones own individual history and needs. The more I practice this modality the more that I love this work.
